I find out why a database is slow or failing and fix it, including SQL Server databases several terabytes in size.
Problems I solve
Tests that run automatically in CI, with xUnit, Testcontainers, Vitest and Playwright. I also use AI coding tools daily and review all of their output.
I have trained interns, interviewed candidates and run regular knowledge-sharing sessions, so good practices spread across the team.

Dualog makes connectivity and cyber-security products for the maritime industry. I work in the R&D team on features across the whole stack, and I write and maintain the automated tests.

A feature is done when it is tested, solves the real problem and works in production, not when the code compiles.
I explain my decisions, run show-and-tell sessions and mentor others, so the team never depends on one person.
I use AI coding tools every day. Each change they write is checked by me, by automated review tools, and then by a colleague.
